The Pro-Ject Head Box S2 Digital combines a high-quality headphone amplifier and advanced digital-to-analogue converter in an exceptionally compact chassis. Designed for listeners who want to get more from their digital music, it delivers high-resolution playback with the flexibility to connect computers, CD transports, TVs, and other digital sources.

At its heart is an ESS Sabre ESS9038 DAC capable of decoding PCM audio up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD256 via USB. Optical and coaxial inputs support high-resolution PCM up to 24-bit/192kHz, giving the Head Box S2 Digital plenty of versatility for both computer audio and traditional digital sources.

Five selectable digital filter settings allow you to fine-tune the character of the presentation to suit your preferences and system. Pro-Ject's proprietary clock circuitry and carefully selected components are designed to maintain precise timing and minimise unwanted digital interference, while the USB input features additional filtering to help keep noise away from the audio signal.

The front-mounted 6.3mm headphone output provides a clean, precise listening experience, while a rear RCA pre-out allows the Head Box S2 Digital to be integrated into a wider hi-fi system. Its full aluminium/metal sandwich construction provides a solid, stylish enclosure while helping protect the electronics from vibration and electromagnetic interference.
